Karen graduated from high school in 1982 and immediately started working while attending Goldey Beacom College. She has been in the administrative field for 15 years working in various different areas including working at Legislative Hall in Dover, DE, a local cable TV station and most recently a non-profit housing corporation.

She started working full-time at Pike Creek Financial Group as the Office Manager in April of 2001 and is a licensed Life Agent in Delaware and Pennsylvania. She is married to Frank Tomazine, the owner of Pike Creek Financial Group, and they have two children, Brendan and Morgan.
